The nickname of Clarenceville Middle and High School's sports teams is the Trojans.
Clarenceville has pejoratively been called the district that schools students from the worst parts of Farmington Hills and Livonia, and the best part of Redford.
[edit] Etymology
The school district's name was derived from the former town of Clarenceville, Michigan which took up some territory in Farmington Hills. It is believed that since Clarenceville (the town) was in Oakland County, Michigan, it is one reason why Clarenceville is listed as an Oakland County school district despite having the schools in Wayne County, Michigan.
