Everything about her is extraordinary. She is a woman, dressed as a woman. An Australian turned European, whose untidy mystical torments, l'âme slave, found peace in rock’n’roll's faith - and flesh. She is born on the prim, vivid parkland side of Adelaide She is an expatriate wanderer whose nomadic hotellier background leads her to range the desert insatiably: yet she dreams of a petit-bourgeois haven, a grocer's shop in some obscure little Algerian town where she and her artist husband could conduct a modest business. She adores her insignificant husband, but her sensual (musical) adventures are without number. Her behaviour is outrageous: she drinks, she smokes hashish, but déclassée, she remains racée. She is the outcast, despised and rejected by Australian Administration and the colony in general. But she is the Lt Colonels trusted friend. She is a writer who is almost unrecognised, and quite penniless still, when, ironically, posthumous editions of her books will earn a small fortune —- for others. Her death will be strangest of all, for she will be drowned in the desert!

Clare Moore arouses violent interest. She is loathed or loved, rejected and despised. No one is indifferent to her. Her echoes never die. No one who knows her ever forgets her. Those who have never known her feel the strange, compelling force of her character. She is a legend during her lifetime.

Clare Moore started out playing drums with a singing nun in Adelaide in 1974 and a couple of years later moved on to play with Precious Memories legendary space-blues band,before hooking up with Dave Graney and Steve Miller to form The Sputniks.In 1978 .The band rmoved to Melbourne and eventually formed The Moodists with Chris Walsh and Mick Turner,splitting to the UK in 1983 on an independent record deal and touring extensively in Europe and USA. In 1986 Dave Graney decided to go "solo" and , with Clare Moore as virtual music director, formed The Coral Snakes before returning to Australia around 1990.In the following 5 or 6 years they worked with Universal records, for who, they recorded four albums and , after that, continued to forge ahead undaunted with "The Dave Graney Show","The Royal Dave Graney Show" and more recently "Dave Graney and the The Lurid Yellow Mist ". Clare Moore have made about 20 albums and many eps. Apart from drums ,Clare Moore play the Vibraphone,keyboards and sings , and is at ease in the studio environment, using Protools and Logic in order to make her own cds.She co write the soundtrack to the Tony Martin film"Bad Eggs"with David Graney.. She imagines she would have performed in the vicinity of 2500 live shows .

Clare Moore has performed, or recorded with the following artists; Thomas Wydler , Beate Bartel, Mick Harvey, Robert Forster, Henry Manetta and the Trip, Charlie Marshall and the Everyday People, the Sand pebbles, Kylie Minogue, Malcolm Ross, Astrid Munday, Kaye patterson, Stephen Cummings and Renee Geyer.
