Clare Briggs

Clare A. Briggs (August 5, 1875-January 3, 1930) was an early American comic strip artist, perhaps best known for his A. Piker Clerk and Mr. and Mrs., which was syndicated from 1924 through 1929.

One of his children, Clare Briggs, Jr., also was a comic strip artist, and had an eponymous strip syndicated from 1939 through 1941.
