Clan Cameron of Lochiel is a Scottish clan, the main branch of Clan Cameron.
The Camerons were staunch Jacobites and the Lochiel branch fought at the Battle of Glen Shiel in 1719. Their chief John Cameron of Lochiel, after hiding for a time in the Highlands, made his way back to exile in France. The Lochiel branch were also involved in the High Bridge Skirmish of 1745.
