Clan Burrock

Clan Burrock is one of The Clans in the popular sci-fi universe BattleTech owned by the FASA Corporation. This information is specific to Clan Burrock, more general information can be found on one of the previous three links.

No longer in existence. Named for an invertebrate endemic to the planet Dagda that could borrow though solid rock. Early in Clan history, the Burrocks became the principal enemies of the Blood Sprits, and were partially responsible for that Clan's isolationism. Before their Absorption, the Burrocks were known to prefer medium and light class BattleMechs, possessed a considerable aerospace bias, and were considered a Crusader Clan. The Burrocks were Absorbed by Clan Star Adder in 3058, when it became known that the Khans of the Burrocks had been secretly dealing with members of the Bandit (Dark) Caste for nearly a century. The Burrock Absorption was interrupted by an unexpected invasion by the enraged Blood Spirits, resulting in severe casualties to all three Clans involved. Afterwards, all surviving members of Clan Burrock willingly joined the ranks of Clan Star Adder, though the former Burrocks have troublingly retained much of their old identity while expected to take up Star Adder causes as their own.
