Claire Peacock (née Casey) is a character on ITV drama Coronation Street played by actress Julia Haworth.
Claire is married to butcher Ashley Peacock, marrying on Christmas Day 2004. She met Ashley in 2003, taking up the position of children's nanny to Ashley's son Joshua, after his first wife Maxine Peacock was murdered by Richard Hillman. In 2005 Claire started work as a taxi driver for Streetcars, the local firm owned by Steve McDonald and Lloyd Mullaney.
She now has a baby son, Freddy, born on 17th July. However she has been suffering from severe post natal depression avoiding spending time with Thomas, lacking any interest in him and leaving him in places where he might "get lost" or hurt.
In September 2006 she was sectioned under the Mental Health Act. A month later she was assessed as over her problem and allowed back home.
