Claire Guildford was a character in the long-running BBC drama Casualty.
Claire was a gifted, dependable and down-to-earth staff nurse. She always stuck up for what she believed in and was extremely confident in her job.
Her best friend through the majority of her time in Holby was with Rebecca "Bex" Reynolds.
When her brother Pete raped Bex, she refused to believe Bex and stuck by Pete throughout the trial. She even formed a relationship with Bex's ex-husband Luke.
After drinking too much, Pete revealed that "Bex had it coming to her" but despite pleas by Luke to tell the court, she didn't say anything and Pete was found not guilty.
Afterwards, Pete vowed to make Bex's life a living hell but when he threatened her on the corridor stairs, he met his end when Bex accidentally pushed him down the stairs. Claire eventually found the CCTV tape and blamed her brother's death on Luke, attempting to take both his and Charlie Fairhead's lives as well as her own by driving her car off a pier straight into the sea. Luke and Charlie managed to escape from the sunken car, but Claire drowned when, during a struggle with Luke, he lashed out with his foot and caught her in the head; she was left to sink to the sea bed while Luke headed for the surface with Charlie. Claire was found by frogmen, but it was too late to save her and she was certified dead at the scene.
Claire was played by Leanne Wilson.
