Claire Defoe

Claire Defoe is a fictional animated character who frequently appeared on MTV's animated series Daria. Ms. Claire Defoe was Lawndale High's resident Art teacher, and was characteristically very relaxed and patient, more in tune to art that anything else. She did not appear in the series nearly as frequently as the other teachers, and so very little was learned about her. She was never seen actually creating any art of her own, but she did delight in nurturing the talents of others, particularly student Jane Lane, a character famous on the show for her artistic nature and passion.
