CKQB is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts an album-oriented rock format at 106.9 FM in Ottawa and 99.7 FM in Pembroke (on a repeater). The station uses the on-air brand name The Bear.

CJSB was launched in 1982 by Standard Broadcasting at AM 540. The station was initially a mixture of music and talk programming, then became 'music of your life' & lite rock.

In 1988, the station adopted an active rock format (of which it still continues on today on FM) and the brand name 54 Rock.

The AM station signed off the air on August 31, 1994 and converted to FM on September 1, 1994, moving to the 106.9 frequency, once occupied by CKO from 1977 to 1989.

106.9 FM The Bear goes by the slogan "Ottawa's Best Rock" and can be found at www.thebear.fm. Its studios are located on Merivale Road.
