CKE Restaurants

CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) is the parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurant chains, as well as Green Burrito and La Salsa. Its headquarters are in Carpinteria, California. It was incorporated in 1964 by Carl's Jr. founder Carl Karcher as Carl Karcher Enterprises, Inc.
In 1996 and 1997, CKE Restaurants bought out the remaining Burger Chef stores in the United States and converted them into either West Coast-based Carl's Jr. or St. Louis, Missouri-based Hardee's.
