This is for discussion regarding the layout of the anarchism article. CJames745 06:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey, I'm not sure if the page should be moved into the main namespace. I don't know all the policies around that, so I'm not going to change it though. Don't worry about the fact that it's under your name though. Users often put things like this in their userspace and it isn't seen as self-centered (at least I've never thought of it that way). What is "Anarchist collectivism"? - FrancisTyers · 16:23, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Keep 'organized labor' not 'trade unions.' The section mentions certain labor unions (such as the IWW) which are industrial unions, not trade unions. Jacob Haller 18:08, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

No, they are trade unions, I think you are confusing "trade union" with "craft union". The unions in the spanish civil war were trade unions, syndicats. - FrancisTyers · 20:35, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Francis, collectivism was somewhat a descendent of mutualism and a predecessor to anarchist communism, and it is what many first international era anarchists championed. They weren't so individualist as the mutualists, but they did believe in renumeration.

As you can see a working model of the new layout now exists on this page. Some of the articles were taken from the current anarchism page, a few from the page on libertarian socialism, and some are still missing. There are some clear issues right now, such as a few never completed sections. There is some duplicate material regarding anarchist syndicalism, and some of the information on anarchist communism should probably be moved into the section on the first international or thereabouts.
