Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation

Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) is an organisation representing air navigation service providers throughout the world. It was established in January 1998. CANSO headquarters are near Amsterdam's Schiphol airport in the Netherlands.

CANSO has two categories of membership:

  • Full members are organisations established for the provision of air navigation services. As of August 2006 there are more than 40 full members, including the Air Traffic Organisation of the US FAA and National Air Traffic Services in the United Kingdom.
  • Associate Members may be any other organisation, including suppliers of goods and services to the broad ANS industry, academic institutions and aircraft operators.
