Civic-Minded Five

The Civic-Minded Five is a team of superheroes in The Tick universe. They are, like most heroes the Tick encounters, largely ineffective in crimefighting having powers or abilities that, while unusual, are almost useless.

The team members vary between what is portrayed in the comic books versus their appearance in the cartoon series. This might be intentional since they are loosely based on such superhero teams such as the Fantastic Four and the Avengers who have a rotating roster of members.

Comic book iteration:

Cartoon iteration:

• Captain Mucilage - His singular power is to shoot a sticky goop from his hands and the top of his head, though it is apparent this power comes from his suit and a tank on his back. He used the battle cry of “Let’s get sticky!” The character appeared in five episodes of the cartoon and was voiced by Rob Paulsen.
