City of Lions

The City of Lions (occasionally written as Carlyon) was the capital of the legendary kingdom of Lyonesse. Situated on what is today the Seven Stones reef, some eighteen miles west of Land's End in Cornwall and eight miles south of the Isles of Scilly, it was engulfed by the sea, along with the rest of Lyonesse, in 537.
