City Gent

The City Gent is one of the official mascots for English football team Bradford City A.F.C., along with Billy Bantam. The City Gent is also the name of the club's fanzine.
He is a man (of the larger persuasion), dressed in a full City football kit, topped with a bowler hat and umbrella. He is a popular figure with both home and away fans, and often participates in football chant made in his direction: particularly "You fat bastard!" where he takes great delight in uncovering his quite substantive bare stomach in good humour.
The man himself is Lenny Berry. He takes an active role in promoting the club in the community, attending supporters' clubs and promotional events. On match day, he looks after the match-day mascots together with his fellow official mascot Billy Bantam. He often plays goalkeeper in penalty shoot-outs against the match-day mascots and children from local schools. He also walks around the perimeter of the pitch, throwing free sweets into the stands.
