City Confidential
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
City Confidential is an American documentary television show on the A&E Network, which singles out a community each episode and investigates a crime that occurred there. The show focuses not only on the crime itself, but also on the impact which the crime, as well as any ensuing investigation and legal proceedings, had on the community.
The original narrator of City Confidential, Paul Winfield, was a fan favorite. After his death in 2004, he was replaced by Keith David, who serves to this day.
City Confidential features real life stories in a wide variety of American cities. While many of these stories deal with murder, some also deal with attempted murder, and public officials caught in compromising situations, among other things. The cities featured vary widely in size, from the smallest village to the largest urban areas. The show has been running since 1998, and has featured communities of all sizes, from small ones such as Riggins, Idaho, to major cities such as New Orleans, Louisiana.
