Città della Pieve is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region Umbria, located about 50 km southeast of Perugia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,366 and an area of 111.5 km2.[1]

Citta della Pieve is an episcopal see. Etruscan tombs have been found in the neighbourhood, but it is not certain that the present town stands on an ancient site. It was the birthplace of the painter Pietro Vannucci (Perugino), and possesses several of his works, but none of the first rank.

The municipality of Città della Pieve contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Moiano, Po Bandino, and Ponticelli.

Città della Pieve borders the following municipalities: Allerona, Castiglione del Lago, Cetona, Chiusi, Fabro, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Paciano, Piegaro, San Casciano dei Bagni.
