Citroën C44

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Citroën C44 is a little-known CX-engined VW Iltis jeep. It was proposed by Citroën to the French Army in 1981 but the Peugeot P4 (based on the Mercedes G-Class) got finally selected. Therefore, it never entered production.

However, some Citroën C44s participated in the Paris Dakar Rally in 1981 and 1984.
