This category is useless since all articles should have a categorization way below the national level such as Category:Amphoe and "Category:Amphoe whatever" - {{vfd}} ? Scriberius 12:07, 2005 Jun 13 (UTC)

I am still not sure whether the districts (Amphoe) and the corresponding towns are actually the same. Especially in the rural areas the district is far larger than the actual urban area (see the discussion in Talk:Amphoe Mueang Samut Prakan). Also, not all Amphoe correspond with a city, as explained in List of cities in Thailand - the townships IMHO don't deserve to be categorized as a city. Thus while the districts are categorized by province, it makes sense to categorize the about 100 cities/towns in a national list. andy 20:41, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
