[edit] relevance of the article

Why does this article exist? Who cares about a boring little local radio station. This is an encyclopaedia, not the local phone book, therefore trivial entries like these must be removed because they are uneccessarily wasting space. An encyclopaedia is far too important to contain an insignificant article about a pathetic radio station. It's just a guy repeating his 15 minute message; it's not even slightly professional. The person who wrote this boring and pointless article about their favourite radio station is a nuisance and people like this shouldn't be allowed to fill this encyclopaedia with useless "information". I don't know how to do it myself, but somebody please delete this article

Whether you like it or not, Wikipedia has a clearly stated precedent that all radio stations which originate at least a portion of their own programming and are duly licensed by the appropriate regulatory body are entitled to articles; an individual editor's opinion of the station's importance, professional quality, or lack thereof is irrelevant. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio Stations for further information; the article is in accordance with all relevant Wikipedia policies and precedents, and as such will not be deleted. And besides, Jack McGaw was already a legitimately notable figure in Canadian broadcasting, such that even if CIRH didn't pass muster on other policy grounds, it would clear the bar specifically on its association with McGaw. And by the by, one of the popular policy catchphrases around here is "Wikipedia is not paper"; this is a website, not a paper publication, and as such there are no space limitations to make "wasting space" a valid argument.
