The Cimarron class oilers were an underway replenishment class of oil tankers which were first built in 1939. The class was to include 12 ships however, 4 would be converted into escort carriers before their completion. The last of these ships to serve was the USS Guadalupe (AO-32) which was finally decommissioned in 1974.
