"Cigaro" is a song from the album Mezmerize by System of a Down that was released as an unofficial single onto the internet. Even with its unexplainable lyrics, it still has their usual political opinion in it.

Some lyrics from the song are:

My cock is much bigger than yours! My cock can walk right through the door!
My shit stinks much better than yours! My shit stinks right down through the floor!
We're the regulators that de-regulate, we're the animators that de-animate, we're the propagators of all genocide, burning through the world's resources, then we turn and hide.

One theory is the song is about two CEOs (Malakian & Tankian) bragging about their massive wealth to one another. This is not widely supported, however.

Most of their fans usually understand this song's message, but some think this song is an example of System of a Down having a bit of fun. However, as most of their songs have a humorous message of some sort, or are exercises in fun song-writing ("This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song") this is also not widely supported.

According to various 'interpreters' at the songmeanings.net site, it is commonly believed that this song refers to the whole Bush (or just the American government in general) vs Fidel Castro "battle of wits". The cigaro bit refers to the stereotype of Cubans always smoking cigars ("cigarro" in Spanish), whereas the propegators of all genocide thing refers to the American response to it. The opening lyrics of comparing penis sizes and feces stink levels is commonly believed to be referring to the belief that this battle between America and Cuba has become petty, and to show that pettiness they include a fittingly petty insult - "Yeah? Well, my penis is bigger!". The general consensus is that the song is political and that it refers to world leaders' petty arguments and the ensuing wars.

It has been explained by guitarist Daron Malakian as a song meant to parody and thus ridicule egotistical, materialistic people who believe that their possessions make them superior to others.

This song was leaked on to the internet as an "appetizer" for Mezmerize a few month's prior to the release of the album.

The song is also a B-side featured on the B.Y.O.B. single. It was also a radio teaser in January 2005.

[edit] Side note

The search engine optimization company Cigaro is said to have named their company after the same reasons as System of a Down.
