Ciao (ちゃお Chao?) is a Japanese shōjo manga magazine published by Shogakukan for young girls (about 9-13 years old). The first issue was launched in 1977. The circulation is about 1 million, the largest among shojo manga magazines in Japan. Formerly, the magazine attached paper crafts, but now attaches various goods (cosmetics, watches, pencils, notebooks, etc.) that are different every month.
