Chynna Clugston

Chynna Clugston (born August 19, 1975) is an American comic book creator. She started her career as Chynna Clugston-Major before her divorce from Guy Major (a colorist and toner on most of her books to this day). On the day before Halloween, 2005, she married her boyfriend, fellow Yosemite High School alumnus Jonathan Flores.

While attending Yosemite High School in Oakhurst during the early 1990s she came up with her currently on-going comic book title Blue Monday, which debuted at Oni Press in 1999 in Oni Double Feature #11. In 2000 Oni published the first Blue Monday miniseries, Blue Monday: The Kids Are Alright.

She has been nominated for three Eisner Awards for Best Limited Series for Blue Monday (2001) and her participation on Hopeless Savages(2002) and Best Writer/Artist-Humor (2002); The Russ Manning award (2000) and a Harvey award.

Clugston is a fan of British culture, including mod fashion, britpop, and slang. She lives in San Diego, California, with her husband, as well as with her English Bulldog, Buster.
