CHVO is an AM radio station in Carbonear, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, broadcasting at 560 kHz. Owned by Newcap Broadcasting, CHVO first went on the air in 1981. It is an affiliate of VOCM, although VOCM can be received in the Conception Bay North region without much difficulty, while the CHVO signal reaches parts of the St. John's area. Originally broadcasting at 850 kHz, it moved to 560 in 1990, which was CHCM's old frequency.

In August 2006, Newcap applied to move CHVO to the FM band, at 103.9 MHz. The application states CHVO will maintain its current country music format, but does not indicate future plans for carriage of VOCM's network talk shows. If approved, it would be the first FM country music station serving the Avalon Penninsula since sister station CKIX-FM in St. John's flipped to contemporary hits in 2002. Depending on its reach into St. John's itself, this may give Newcap a de facto five-station cluster in St. John's, allowing VOCM, which also carries some country music, to focus more on talk programming.

Programming includes:

  • CHVO Morning Show Hosted by Jay Taylor and station manager Adien Hibbs; weekday mornings, with regular news, weather and traffic updates.
  • Classic Country Hosted by Donna Randell; airs Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Potluck Show Hosted by Jay Taylor, featuring Newfoundland music.
