Sir Winston Churchill was born in 1874 and died in 1965. He was first elected to parliament in 1900 as the M.P. for Oldham. He helped break the 1926 General strike and was prime-minister (P.M.) between 1940 and 1945 after Sir Neville Chambalin resinged from office. Churchill was also P.M. briefly in his 77th year of life. Churchill then retired to the back-benches. Blenheim palace in Woodstock, near Oxford, in the UK has a museum dedicated to him and the 300 year old Churchill family lineage.
