Church Ope Cove is a small secluded beach on the sheltered east side of the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England. The beach has many unusual features for the Isle of Portland. To access the beach there is a path which runs through a wood - a very rare thing to see on the windy isle - and then cuts across a pirate's graveyard and the remains of Rufus Castle, down stone steps and into the cove. The beach used to be sandy, but quarry debris has fell off the cliffs and has been worn into pebbles of Portland Stone, which cover a small stream which runs to the sea, which is only one of three streams on the whole of the island.

Church Ope cove is excellent for diving to the many wrecks which dot the treacherous Portland waters, and also for fishing, snorkelling and swimming.
