[edit] How to Respond to Personal Attacks
You need to spend less time on the internet.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.54.15.129 (talk • contribs).
- I appreciated your concern with my personal life and spending too much time on Wikipedia. Internet addiction is a real disorder. However, I do not suffer from it (maybe I am in denial). Well, take it easy and thanks again for your concern. Chris Kreider 01:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Chris chris chrisy chris chris. You clearly do have an internet problem. Authoring an article on the USS Hunchback is one of the clearest signs. I suggest you stop, log off, unplug the computer, maybe even throw it away, and try to strike up a conversation with the nearest girl. It will be difficult at first, human contact, but please, just try. It is so much better than reading about girls on wikipedia. AND NO ONLINE DATING THAT WOULD ONLY DRAG YOU DEEPER INTO THIS HOLE.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.54.15.129 (talk • contribs).
- I was first tempted to remove this as a personal attack. But, I really dont care and think it is kind of funny so, this is why it stays
- On a random note, here is my response. "As i stated before, thank you for your concern with my personal life, most recently with my lack of human contact and needing to talk to a girl. I generally dont like to throw this information around but, to apease your concern, I do have a girlfriend. (Yes, she is real but you will have to take my word for it). Articles like the USS Hunchback are something to do that is not work related or even people related (some people, including myself, may have Introverted tendancies. In all, i appreciated your concern. Perhaps you might spend less time making personal attacks and more time socializing or even enhancing wikipedia!. If you need any help with this, please let me know. Thanks, Chris Kreider 02:06, 14 November 2006 (UTC)"
[edit] Your RfA
Hi Chris,
I thought I'd drop you a personal note about your RfA. Although it may seem like I am being very critical of you, I actually believe you're going to make a fine and effective admin in the near future. I really appreciate your work on Wikipedia. I have every confidence that I will be supporting your next RfA in a couple of months and that you'll pass on the second try. Please don't be discouraged, I think you just need a little more experience and you will soon be joining the cabal admin ranks. Best, Gwernol 18:42, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Ping me in a couple of months when you feel you are ready to try again. I'd be happy to give you feedback on your progress (I've done this for a few other editors) and I'd be interested in nominating you myself on the second go around. Best, Gwernol 19:03, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Thanks for the Barnstar, it certainly seems that I've found my niche in Wikipedia at the DYK section. People have really made a great effort to be friendly there. I guess it might be time to add a barnstar section to my userpage, it's kinda sad seeing em linger in obscurity on the DYK subpage of my user talk. GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 00:08, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

-- tariqabjotu 00:47, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] You are correct.
Interrogating people who are against your RFA is (in my opinion, but others do seem to agree with me) bad form. And I think the word you're looking for may be rebut, rebuke, or rebuff. Nothing personal. I'm sure you can understand that being hostile in your RFA is a good way to be perceived as somebody who is typically hostile. As the anon user above said (admittedly inappropriately), you needn't take things so personally. ... aa:talk 01:47, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reply
Sure no problem, I was hit several times in the past and they've revert for me, so I'm giving the favor to others. P.S about the edit mistake at your first page.--JForget 02:08, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Itès okay, it doesn't matter where it was, I've just move it up in the page away from the templates mess of my caracs. Thanks !--JForget 03:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] $100 hamburger
Nothing better than a $100 burger is there? I've had a few of those myself, so I'll have to put that new box of yours on my userpage; Thanks! -- AuburnPilottalk 04:24, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Antivandalbot
Do you know if antivandalbot is down today? I am beating it to reverts that I NEVER beat it too. And come to think of it, I dont remeber seeing any reverts by it. I have seen a martinbot reverting though. hmmm, strange -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:45, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I have seen Martinbot. I've beaten that one to a few, too. Stranger and yet, stranger. I'm also writing some more articles at the moment - because I want to have my cake and eat it! :) Bubba hotep 14:47, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have started taking a liking more to creating articles and less on vandalism fighting. I have gotten some good magazines and I read through them, find good content and either create an article or added content and citations to existing articles. It is very fufilling so far (as long as I dont run out of sources). Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:22, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Do people realise that creating articles from scratch takes time and effort? Do they also realise that one or two article creation/fiddling edits = about 40 or 50 vandalism reverts, time-wise? I've created 139 articles (I know, because I keep a running tally!) and they take Time. Anyway, I'm done with being aggrieved! Onwards, and, inevitably, upwards! :) Bubba hotep 16:28, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re, DYK - ah, no stubs – unfortunately, a lot of mine start as stubs and stay that way either until I get home (no firewall restricting the sites I can reach) or until I buy the album! (for that is what most of the 139 are, album articles). Nevertheless, I will keep it in mind and thanks for the suggestion. Bubba hotep 16:55, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, forgot to say - a lot of album articles stay as stubs because... well, I don't know why actually. People seem to have a funny idea of what de-stubs a music-related article. Anyways... Bubba hotep 17:01, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I see you're a "frequent flyer" to the AIV department today! :) Bubba hotep 15:17, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your RfA
and please excuse me for being a bit of an asshole... - crz crztalk 00:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I am sorry to inform you that your Request for Adminship (RfA) has failed to reach sufficient consensus for promotion, and has now been delisted and archived. Please do not look upon this outcome as a discouragement, but rather as an opportunity to improve. Try to address the concerns raised during your RfA and, in a few months' time, resubmit your request. Thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity! Redux 01:48, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

- To use a common British phrase, Chris, get in there!. Bubba hotep 16:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- Chris, I just wanted to say I'm happy you decided to stay here on Wikipedia despite your recent failed RfA. Keep up the good work! :) Michaelas10 (Talk) 19:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AIV Freequent Flyer
Yea, it usually starts happening after about 20-30 minutes on patrol. The regular suspects show up in different color links on the recent changes so it is easier to catch them after warning them. And, I ocasionally run acorss a test 4 that had already been given but some user did not report so I go ahead and help them out! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 15:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- So, I oficially hit the 10,000 edits mark as of about 5 minutes ago! (not edit countitis or anything, just a kandmark nuymber in my opinion)! WooHoo! I actually checked out your edit count and you arent looking too bad either. You dont appear to be too far off from the list of top 2000 editing wikipedians! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:47, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- HAHA, yea, i was at something like 9,750 this morning so, I did my super spped vandal reverts, and with avb down I spent most of my morning handling (blanking page) and (replaceing page with PENIS!!!) style vandalism (dead give aways, and not alot of time spent searching through valid edits to find the vandals). -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:57, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to Olligar
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Olligar, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still feel the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. - Chris, have a look at this link to see if it relates directly to this article. I can't access it from where I am at present! Bubba hotep 14:42, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hagerman Bot
(Copied from other page for my reference)
First off, I love the Hagerman bot! Great job. I have a suggesstion for the HagermanBot user page. Many other bots, such as anti vandal bots have humorous pictures of warcraft etc on there page. I propose that you put

- Yes, it would be in keeping with all those pictures of battleships that the anti-vandal-bots seem to have. I recommend it – Gurch 14:55, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- Wow! That's brilliant! It's on the user page now. Thank you, Chrislk02! Best, Hagerman(talk) 16:41, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sigma Phi Epsilon
No problems. I'm a Phi Delt, but I was very close to SiEp and was very close to joining them at one point which is why I have a lot of respect for them and don't appreciate anyone who has no sense of honor. I try and look over all the fraternity and sorority pages and revert vandalism whenever I can but I'm currently busy in real life and don't have much time anymore. --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 17:27, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
