[edit] Horror WikiProject

Hello my name is Anthony. You seem strongly committed to promoting the works of Stephen King (IT is my all time favourite book), and have made strong progress in doing so. Many congratulations. I'm just wondering would you like to join the Horror WikiProject, of which I'm a member. Even if you wish to just solely edit Stephen King related articles, or remain mostly a spectator, that's fine. [edit] Image Tagging Image:RileyMason.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:RileyMason.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiproject Horror/Collaboration of the month

Hi! I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror membership list and am writing to all members who have not voted for the Collaboration of the month. Today is the designated selection day to choose the collaboration, but we currently have a tie between the two articles receiving the most votes, John Carpenter and Dario Argento. I am hoping to remedy this by drumming up a few more votes. Note that by voting for any nominated article (not limited to these two) you are indicating your "commitment to support and aid in collaborating on that specific article if it is chosen," so please feel absolutely free to ignore this message if for any reason you don't wish or would not be able to participate.--Fuhghettaboutit 22:56, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

We have a winner!

You showed support for the horror collaboration of the month.
This month John Carpenter was selected to be improved to good article or featured article status.
We hope you can contribute.

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:RileyMason.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Holy crap, a Stangl!

Geez, that was a shocker, seeing my last name on Wikipedia! I can't believe I've met another Stangl. I had to make a whole new account just to say so to keep people from being able to track me down by my last name, it's so rare. This is the first time ever, other than relatives. Heck, we're probably related. Are you related to anyone in Wisconsis? PIethora 22:57, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
