[edit] What I do around here

Other than editing what needs to be edited, I am also a semi-active (meaning I could be doing more) member of The 0.5 Review Team and Wikiproject Awareness. I passed the article "Chocolate" into Wikipedia 0.5. I also write essays and do Wikipolitics... If you didn't notice, I hate notability. I can't devote much more than an hour a day to Wikipedia, so I do the best I can.

Oh yeah, I also use VandalProof whenever I can to fight vandals and whatnot.

Things WIkipedians say that couldn't be more true, or funny.

  • "The main problem is that the article sucks."—Jimbo Wales, explaining why his article shouldn't be FA-class.
  • "ZOMG I have a better idea, how about we make all text <blink>, that would look so kewl. I mean... sophisticated!...I'm serious! We could put animated rainbow rules between sections too! And an Under Construction sign every two paragraphs or so (because this is a wiki, and hence permanently under construction!) That would be like, totally awesome. Oh, and the logo needs colorized. We shouldn't even talk about animating it unless it also flashes and sparkles in all the colors of the rainbow and then some."-User:I do not exist, explaining on Image talk:Wiki.png why the WIkipedia globe shouldn't spin.

More coming!

[edit] Wikipedia beliefs

  1. Notability is bullshit. There's no better way to put it.
  2. Every Wikipedia article should be applied to the same rules.
  3. Don't claim that there is a consensus on an essay, and then treat the "consensus" you made up to treat your essay as a guideline. See Wikipedia:Notability

My own sandbox

Thanks, BaronLarf for the Lucida-ish font on this page, although had I waited another month, I would have learned the basic CSS behind the code.
