Talk:Chris Reilly
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] citation needed
If there is no evidence that Chris Reilly won any awards, take out the line that said he did. Same for the line saying the two radio stations are "most-listened to." --Richardclas
- That's the eventual plan. I wanted to wait a bit to see if someone would be able to provide a citation or a list. -- Mikeblas 19:11, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- I first placed the request for citations up more than two weeks ago; they haven't been satisifed. We can add the assertions that Chris has won awards or that those stations are the most listend-to in the US if someone can substantiate them. But for now they're unverifiable and POV, so I've removed them. -- Mikeblas 15:08, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Articles on Wikipedia are verifiable and sourced, which means that assertions like "award-wining" should include a list of the awards and a link to a reference that confirms them. Same thing for saying that a radio station is "the most-listened to". I've reverted a recent change that removed "citation needed" tags from uncited statements in this article.
Please do not remove these tags without providing a citation that satisfies the verifiability requirement.
We don't like to make links that go through redirects; the topic in Wikipedia that describes voice-overs has a dash in its name, so the link has a dash in its name. If you think that topic name isn't correct, you should broach the idea of renaming the target topic (and fixing all the links that reference it). As such, the topic name provides a usage guide for other topics, and we should adhere to it. And so I've reverted a change which linked to the "voiceover" redirect instead of directly to "voice-over". --Mikeblas 19:09, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 3rd Opinion
There isn't even really a need for a 3rd opinion here, but I just want to make it clear that material without citations can not be included. The burden of proof is on those seeking to include information, for more info see WP:V. --Hetar 02:31, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time, Hetar.
- Searching the net, I can't find any mention of Chris Reilly winning awards, including the bio pages here [1] and here [2]. Since all of the edits in this topic have come from IP addresses registered to WNYC or CBS, Inc, I am worried about the content not being neutral. --Mikeblas 02:52, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
