Christine Lehner (born May 15,1952 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American novelist and short story writer. She earned a bachelor's degree (1974) and a master's in English (1977) at Brown University.
She published the novel Expecting in 1981. After raising her two children, she returned to the literary circuit in 2000 with short story publications in several journals. Most recently, she published What to Wear to see the Pope. In this collection of short stories, she focuses on themes of family, idiosyncrasy and hagiography. Her literary influences include Virginia Woolf, Isak Dinesen and Herman Melville.
