Christian I, Elector of Saxony

Christian II (October 29, 1560 - September 25, 1591) was prince-elector of Saxony (Germany) from 1586 until his death. He was a member of the House of Wettin.

Born in Dresden, he was the son of Elector Augustus I of Saxony and Anna of Denmark.

Christian married to Sophie of Saxony. Their two sons Christian and John George were both Electors. Its chancellor was Nikolaus Krell.

He died in Dresden in 1591.
