Twenty-five of the nation’s largest Christian music festivals gathered September 14-16 2006 at the facilities of Premier Studios in Kansas City to form the Christian Festival Association (CFA).
The twenty-five charter members of the CFA include:

- Creation Festival East[6] – Mt. Union, Pennsylvania
- Creation Festival West[7] – George, Washington
- Ichthus Festival[8] – Wilmore, Kentucky
- Kingdom Bound[9] – Darien Center, New York
- King’s Fest[10] – Doswell, Virginia
- LifeLight Festival[11] – Sioux Falls, South Dakota
- Lifest[12] – Oshkosh, Wisconsin
- Purple Door Festival[13] – Pennsylvania
- Rock the Coast[14] – Muskegon, Michigan
- Rock the Desert – Midland, Texas
- Rock the Light[15] – Kansas City, Missouri
- Rock the Universe[16] – Orlando, Florida
- Sonshine Festival[17] – Minnesota
- SoulFest[18] – Gilford, New Hampshire
- Spirit Song[19] – Cincinnati, Ohio
- Spirit West Coast[20] – Monterey, California

- Unity Christian Music Festival[22] – Muskegon, Michigan
Christian Festival Association (CFA) vision statement is to “provide and facilitate an open communications environment that links Christian festival organizers together for encouragement, shared information and resources, and addressing common business circumstances and goals, all for the purpose of increasing the success and professionalism of participating festivals so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be advanced and glory brought to Jesus Christ, our Lord.”
CFA member festivals take place in every region of the United States from April to September and are attended by over 1.2 million Christian music fans.
