Chris Wood (footballer)

Chris Wood (born 24 January 1987 in Worksop) is a professional footballer who plays as a central defender or defensive midfelder for Mansfield Town. Wood was captain of the Stags' youth team for two years, before being given his first professional contract in the summer of 2006. At first-team level, he has so far only played once, coming on as a substitute against Rochdale in March 2005.
