Chris Stynes (born January 19, 1973) is an American baseball player.
He is a utility infielder. He has spent time with the Kansas City Royals, the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Cubs, the Boston Red Sox, the Colorado Rockies, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Baltimore Orioles. He was competing for a roster spot with the Orioles during spring training of 2004, but fouled a ball off his leg and shattered his fibula. Stynes also played minor league baseball for the Knoxville Blue Jay (now the Tennessee Smokies)
During his stint as a member of the Red Sox, the fans considered him one of the original Dirt Dogs. Also, fans remember him for his very open batting stance, and being hit in the visor of his helmet by pitcher Aaron Sele. His visor then came down and gave him a deep cut just under his eye.
