Chris Potter (producer)

Chris Potter is a British music engineer and producer, most famous for his work as long-term collaborator and producer of The Verve and Richard Ashcroft.

Chris started his career at Maison Rouge Studios in London, where he worked his way up from 'tape op' to house engineer.

Artists Chris has worked with include The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, The Rolling Stones, The Orb, De La Soul, Killing Joke, Heather Nova, Comfort, Gabrielle and Flowered Up.

Having enjoyed worldwide success with his productions on The Verve's "Urban Hymns", including all singles, Chris has continued to work with Richard Ashcroft. He produced and mixed Richard's UK No.1 debut album "Alone with Everybody", and the UK No.3 follow up "Human Conditions". Chris produced and mixed I am Kloot’s critically acclaimed second album for Echo, including the single “Favourite Sky” released earlier this year. Chris recently finished producing The Verve’s Singles album and has been working on Richard Ashcroft’s third solo album, mixing for Keane and developing his own artist project. Other previous credits include Blur, U2, The Rolling Stones, Whale, and Heather Nova. Chris has his own writing / pre-production room at Metropolis Studios, Chiswick. Chris has just finished Tina Dico’s album for Sony Music.
