Chris Braide

Christopher Kenneth Braide (born 6th February 1973 in Warrington, Cheshire) is a singer, songwriter and record producer. He has written songs for a variety of artists from Emma Bunton to Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), as well as S Club 7's "Have You Ever".

When he was just 7 years old, Braide learned how to play the piano, sparking his interest in writing and performing music. By age 17, he inked his first publishing deal with Zomba Music.

He co-wrote "This Is The Night" recorded by Clay Aiken (from American Idol) which entered the Billboard Top 100 in June 2003. He also wrote "Anything Is Possible", which was a number one single for Pop Idol winner Will Young in the UK. The song earned him and co-writing partner Cathy Dennis an Ivor Novello Award in May 2003.

Braide is also a recording artist: 1996 saw the release of his hit single "If I Hadn’t Got You" followed a year later by the dance album, "Life in a Minor Key". He is currently releasing his own material under the band moniker Malmo.
