Chris Ahrens (born July 31, 1952 in San Bernardino, California, USA) is a retired American Professional Hockey Defenceman who played 6 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Minnesota North Stars.

Ahrens was drafted in the 5th round, 76th overall in the 1972 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota North Stars. He is one of a select few native Californians to play in the NHL. Chris played very briefly for the Edmonton Oilers in 1977-78, their last year in the WHA.
