an organization that only attracts 15 members to its meetings is not notable. Richardjames444 02:48, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

list on list of LGBT-related organizations with a link out to your website. That won't be deleted. There are probably other lists you could edit as well. Richardjames444 03:08, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

We have a few hundred members. In the lesbian community, this is notable. Lesbians are a minority within the GLBT community. We have much less visibility than gays and deletion of an article like this one is exactly why we stay invisible and have less support/groups/meeting places than gays.
- I think that it is exaggerating to imply that your removal from wikipedia, should it occur, makes anyone complicit in your oppression. Richardjames444 16:10, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

- English is not my first language so sorry if that came out wrong. I just meant to say it's another example of... I'm not sure I understand, it seems radical groups, political groups and university groups are accepted but they are not the only ones that represent the lesbian community. University groups are often much more "local" because the participants are often limited to students of the university for the current year. I know, I've been to some of them and they have a hard time getting 5 people to their meetings. But they are considered more notable? Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, I will try that.
- I added Chouettes to the listing of LGBT organizations, with a link to the homepage. Most of the other groups listed have national and international scope, or publish widely-read magazines, or are historically significant in the evolution of gay pride and rights. So you're in pretty good company. Whatever becomes of the individual article after the discussion on deleting it, this link will probably stay in Wikipedia. I hope that you feel that this is an acceptable compromise. Good luck, or perhaps I should say, Bonne Chance. Richardjames444 17:34, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- If the article is approved to stay on Wikipedia, I will go back to the list and reformat it as a link to the article, not just to the website. Richardjames444 17:36, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

- Following the non-consensus on delete, I added the link back to this article on the List of LGBT-related organizations Richardjames444 16:46, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
