Chorpan Tarkhan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chorpan Tarkhan is recorded in Armenian sources as a Khazar general who invaded and devastated Armenia around the year 630 CE. He was most likely an officer in the army of the Western Gokturks and may have been part of Ziebel's (or Tong Yabghu Khagan's) campaign against Persia in alliance with the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius.
