Chocolate Starfish

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chocolate Starfish is an Australian rock music group, and were based in Melbourne, Australia.

They reached their peak with Mountain and their cover of Carly Simon's You're So Vain, released in 1994. The two songs charted near the top of the Australian charts, reaching the top 5.

Their name most likely derives from a colloquial term for the anus.

The numetal band Limp Bizkit (coincidentaly?) used "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" as the title for a 2000 release.

Feecal the little chocolate starfish by artist James R Ford is a deconstruction & investigation into the systems within cartoons, their embedded/subliminal messages and our obsession with scatological humour. The work takes the form of animation, illustrated stories, sculpture, interactive website and DVD.

In 1994, band members included:

  • Zoran Romich - Guitars
  • Adam Thompson - Vocals
  • John Nixon - Bass Guitar
  • Darren Danielson - Drums
  • Norman Falvo - Keyboards

Tim Rosewarne replaced Norman Falvo on keyboards in their next album Box, in 1995.

Their albums include: Chocolate Starfish (1994)
