Chocodog Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chocodog Records was started in 2001. It was founded by Gene Ween and Dean Ween of the band Ween. This company was created after their contract with their record company, Elektra Records, expired. Chocodog humorously suggests the most negative aspect of walking a dog. Chocodog started with the release of Ween's "Live in Toronto" CD. Chocodog has grown from 2001 and has signed three other bands. Those bands are the Moistboyz, Instant Death, Chris Harford, and of course Ween. Most recently, Chocodog released Ween's first-in-a-series collection of previously unreleased tracks and a few new tracks called Shinola, Vol. 1.

"We actually got together in a living room and stuffed 3,000 cds into mailing envelopes until all the records were gone."-Dean Ween
