Cho Sonjin (born April 18, 1970) is a professional Go player.

Cho spent 12 years in South Korea before finally deciding to go and become a professional in Japan. 2 short years later, Cho would turn pro. He would be promoted to 9 dan in 1998, and then in the year after, he beat Cho Chikun in the Honinbo. This suprisng win would end Chikun's amazing 10 year run with the title. That made Cho a household name overnight.
