Welcome to Childzy's talk page. Please sign and date your entries by inserting -- ~~~~ at the end. [edit] Thanx for the WelcomeI am still quite new at this but hope to get better. Still not sure about a lot of things so I guess I will play it all by ear and do lots of reading to catch up. Thalia
[edit] Evanescence article stuff to doHey Childzy, You and I have recently been collaborating on the Evanescence talk page. I'd just like to praise you for being bold and getting several Evanescence-related chores done. If you need any assistance, for example with creating Evanescence discography or changing references to their genre of music to alternative rock, just let me know and I'd be more than glad to help out. —Lantoka ( talk | contrib) 07:47, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marc Pugh thanksThanks for the help with the references on the Marc Pugh article, I'm trying to make a really good, in depth article and it needed referencing like other good articles. I'll see what you did and play about with it in the sandbox, so again thanks for the help.--Childzy 15:22, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chelsea F.C.First of all, the article was not stable so I removed it from the GA list, it will have to be renominated. Second of all, please review the oldest nominations on the GA nomination page since it is fairer for those who have been waiting for an assessment or a review of their article the longest. Lincher 14:08, 6 June 2006 (UTC) [edit] PoutsaThe user who'd made it had just vandalised an article and borderline-vandalised a few others, so I was mopping up. If you think it's worth an article, go ahead. However, is there anything that wouldn't be handled better at wiktionary? Morwen - Talk 14:36, 13 June 2006 (UTC) [edit] re user_talk:207.165.35.157childzy, you actually gave user_talk:207.165.35.157 a {{test5}} warning, which tells the person that they have been blocked. please don't use this in the future if you are not an administrator. i replaced it with a {{bv}} warning since the person had actually been vandalizing. thanks, --Alhutch 17:34, 14 June 2006 (UTC) [edit] RecyclingRegarding this edit. You (accidentally I'm sure) deleted a large part of the article when trying to edit the image. I've reverted for now, so if want to doing the image edit again feel free, but be careful not to remove any valid content (use show preview and/or show changes button before saving to check). Cheers, Petros471 18:17, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your vote on Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Bruno SennaHi Childzy, [edit] All Music Guide linksPlease note that there is no reason to italicize All Music Guide in the professional reviews section of the album infobox. Only the names of magazines should be italicized (see the archived discussion at WikiProject Albums and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles)). Jogers (talk) 23:46, 2 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Edit of Towneley Hall picHi Childzy, [edit] StarsI've reverted a few of your edits. I put what I have to say about the matter here. Regards, Jogers (talk) 15:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] HELPPlease see these two articles and their talk pages. Ultra Rare Trax Vol.1 and Ultra Rare Trax Vol.2. This is a big edit war and its going nowhere, the articles need deleting, they are not encylopedic and are causing problems. --Childzytalkcontribs 20:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC) I've deleted the articles. --Pilotguy (roger that) 20:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Football AID 9 July - 16 July
Thank you for participating in the Football AID vote this week.
FA Premier League has been selected as this week's collaboration. Please do help in working to improve it. [edit] The Fake Sound of ProgressHi, you're probably sick of me by now but I gotta ask this. You made articles for all the lostprophets singles today (I just made the last two), but the links you made designated the fake sound of progress page to The Fake Sound of Progress (song). I conformed with this for now, but is the (song) bit necessary? The Fake Sound of Progress is just a redirect to thefakesoundofprogress, so cant The Fake Sound of Progress be used for the single? The topline dabs i put on the pages can stay, allowing access to the page they're not on. Is there a problem with doing this? U-Mos 16:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
No probs, they were easy pages to be my first! I'm going through the links to the (song) version now. Btw, I made a couple of changes to that lovely lostprophets template you did - you managed to get lee's name wrong! I also removed ilan rubin and several links that redirect to lostprophets or go nowhere. I won't take offence if you revert it, but i think that's how it should be. U-Mos 18:50, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
AH I keep removing red links so oops! Personally I don't think band memeber articles are a good idea as none of them have done anything outside lostprophets. Ilan Rubin drums for the band, but he is not OF the band. He's not in their promo pics, or listed as a band member in Liberation Transmission etc. Therefore it is believed (by me) that he shouldn't be in their infobox or template or suchlike. U-Mos 18:59, 10 July 2006 (UTC) Something else! IF band pages are deemed necessary, Richard Oliver should be Jamie Oliver, as for some reason that's what he calls himself. This will probably cause many chef-related problems, but that's how it should be I think. U-Mos 19:08, 10 July 2006 (UTC) Hmm it would cause big problems but if you are sure thats his name i will move it. --Childzytalkcontribs 11:06, 11 July 2006 (UTC) I am sure about jamie oliver and ilan rubin U-Mos 17:18, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, I try! They don't really have a drummer: Mike Chiplin left over a year ago, josh freese drummed on the new album and ilan rubin is currently touring with them, but he is not a member of the band. U-Mos 19:21, 11 July 2006 (UTC) Very strange Childzy (Talk|Contribs) 18:13, 13 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Stu richardson.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Stu richardson.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:09, 10 July 2006 (UTC) I just wanted to point out that Ilan Rubin did do two tracks on Liberation Transmission and he is thanked, along with Josh Freese. [edit] Fair use images in userspacesI've removed the fair use images of a football team's logo from your userspace. Sorry, but such images can't be used outside articles, for the reasons in WP:FU. You might want to resubmit your nomination to WP:ESP/U. Actually, as I've nominated my own userspace there, I hope you won't take this as sabotage ;-). But someone else would have had to if I didn't. --Sam Blanning(talk) 19:15, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Frank SinclairI have restored the NorthAm stub. As explained on the talk page, this is necessary because we have the unusual case of an England-born player who played in the World Cup for a North American team.--Runcorn 19:35, 13 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] ReHey buddy, I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't been around much. If you need help with Ev articles just leave me a message with what you need done and I'll do it in my free time. Hope things are going well for ya, and great job on the Ev articles! —Lantoka ( talk | contrib) 21:41, 13 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] System of a Down / discographyI've responded to your comments and edits to the System of a Down page. The gist is that there is a consensus for merging the discography page to the main article page. Please see the talk page for the main article and the discography article for details. -- H·G (words/works) 19:38, 15 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re:Stadium Arcadium triviaI don't feel that information is necessary, if you feel strongly about it why don't you integrate it. maxcap 19:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] :(I'm sorry to hear your wikistress is so high. :( If you need help reverting (since I can't usually find anything to revert), please contact me and I will help you to the best of my ability. [edit] Wikipedia:Esperanza/Coffee loungeThanks for your contribution to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Coffee lounge, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. I hope you can help us out! (aeropagitica) (talk) 15:03, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I will accept that there is a difference of opinion - you thought that the practical joke was funny, I did not. The coffee lounge is for fun and games - chess, hangman, etc. The practical joke does have its place and I have seen it multiple times on User pages. I was even fooled by it once or twice and laughed along too! The fun aspect of the practical joke is subjective, as indicated by this correspondance. What might be funny on a User page isn't so funny on a Project page. The {{joke}} template was the mildest thing that I could find. I didn't intend any offence by it, as you didn't intend any with the message bar. My mood is very light for the hottest day of the year! Everyone has an opinion as to what is and isn't funny, so there's no point in arguing about it. The judges have received the fifteen entries, and are ready to start judging. The judges will take a week to complete the judging process, and they will contact all the participants when the judging is done.
[edit] "You have new messages"That's a particularly evil one! Good job I didn't click it: I noticed the links weren't the visited link colour... EVOCATIVEINTRIGUE TALKTOME | EMAILME | IMPROVEME 12:24, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re; 24.10.107.224Sorry, according to the contributions, indications are that this user hasn't vandalised within the past 24 hours, so therefore there is no need to block. However, if vandalism continues please notify me immediately and I will block. --Pilotguy (roger that) 04:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] MottoThanks for helping out! It would be great if you could take over the whole thing since my schedule as predictable as stock market :) So, let me know. I scheduled the mottos for the whole month of July. Anyway, you recently took out the unofficial lostprophets links, and quite right too I say ('cept for dragonninja), but they're starting to be added again. I don't have the time to do anything as I'm off on my hols in a minute, but you might want to add notices and warnings and suchlike. Just thought I'd let you know... I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject.
