[edit] Article Title

I'm wondering why the articles was moved from Chiwa Saito to Chiwa Saitō when the Manual of Style for Japan-related articles states that "article titles must use short vowels" Shiroi Hane 19:38, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

That was written before the MediaWiki software was changed to allow macrons in the titles. Since then, things have been moving toward using them, though a consensus has yet to be reached. Chiwa Saitō is more correct, however, and I went through all of the pages referencing her and made sure all the links were changed in order to avoid double redirects. --nihon 22:15, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
