Talk:ChildCare Action Project

Some movies, like Matilda, were not rated because they contained such much "inappropriate" material that the reviewer couldn't keep track, or offended him so much that he didn't watch them to the end. These should probably be in the list of lowest-rated movies. — FJG 17:24, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Controversy
The 'controversy' section should be re-written to include references, or removed. As it stands, it is nothing more than an opinion piece by someone who disagrees with CAP. --TheJeffMiller 15:47, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ratings
From the article: "(cursing, defying God's word, following a religion or performing the rituals of a religion other than Christianity, mentioning evolution or the earth being round, etc.)" The earth being round?? Is this a snide POV comment or an actual example of something CAPalert deems offensive? Inquiring minds want to know.
- I'm pretty sure it's a snide POV comment. I've read a lot of CAP reviews and have never seen a reference like that. --Metropolitan90 08:08, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have seen the ultra literist argument for why the bible says the earth is flat (so the claim does at least exist), but I've never actually ever heard anyone who believed it, and I think it's too extreme even for CAP Alert, though I've not read enough CAP reviews and don't particularly want to in order to search for a reference to it. I think it can pretty safely be removed. The argument has something to do with a bible passage that refers to something (in the sky, on a tower, mountain, something like that) that could be seen from everywhere on Earth, which wouldn't be possible if the Earth was round.
