Chiyokawa, Ibaraki

Chiyokawa (千代川村; -mura) is a village located in Yūki District, Ibaraki, Japan.

As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 9,589 and a density of 483.56 persons per km². The total area is 19.83 km².

There is one Junior High School [1], three elementary schools, and no high schools.

The ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) is from Melbourne, Australia. His name is Matt [2]

From January 1st 2006, Chiyokawa Village merged with Shimotsuma-city[3].
