Chittaranjan is a census town in Bardhaman District in the state of West Bengal, India.

Chittaranjan is located at 23.87° N 86.87° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 155 metres (508 feet).

Chittaranjan is a railway town on the border of the Indian states of Jharkhand and West Bengal. The town is named after the Indian freedom fighter, Chittaranjan Das The town of Chittaranjan is on the West Bengal side of the state border. The town on the Jharkhand side is known as Mihijam. The passenger rail head serving Chittaranjan is in Mihijam.
