This article is about the former village in Oita Prefecture, Japan. There is a Japanese city with this name, see Chitose, Hokkaido.
Chitose (千歳村; -mura) was a village located in Ōno District, Ōita, Japan. On March 31, 2005 the village merged with all the other towns and villages in the district forming the city of Bungo-ōno.
As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 2,468 and the density of 115.17 persons per km². The total area was 21.43 km².
